How can we help parents gain confidence and tools to support their children in math?
With funding from the Wisconsin After School Network and the Wisconsin Society of Science Teachers, collaborators from UWM’s Department of Mathematical Sciences, and the initiative of Collab Lab regular Bernie Traversari, families from Carmen’s Stellar Academy and MPS elementary schools have the chance to participate in a series of Family Math nights. The first session for Stellar Elementary took place in November. MPS families are invited to join us in February for the first of two sessions at MSOE’s STEM Center. All sessions are offered in bi-lingual mode with support in both English and Spanish.
