How would you connect STEM explorations to the design of exhibits at an interpretive center?

The Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park are planning a new educational/interpretive center for the park. What if we challenged students to prototype exhibits? Where do you see STEM connections? What would you want your students to experience as they think through possibilities? What would you want them to gain from the exercise?
