Milwaukee Succeeds

Our Number Talks Workgroup brings together teachers and coaches who are, or hope to, embed Number Talks as a regular practice within their math lessons. The focus for January is to sketch out a timeline for schools that want to kick off Number Talks in the fall or expand to a larger group of teachers. We'll talk through what needs to happen before the end of the school year to over the summer to address concerns of teachers adopting the practice and ensure they have what they need to feel comfortable doing so. As part of this process we'll work to map out what materials need to be on hand when and the funding deadlines for grants that can help schools cover professional development and resources to support their teachers.
